The COVID-19 pandemic and related contact restrictions change the daily lives of children, young people, and their families. For example, schools, daycare centers, and public spaces are closed temporarily.

This is why a pandemic-specific addon to AID:A 2019 is launched between August and November 2020. Using a web-based questionnaire, target subjects aged 10 years and older, as well as proxy interviews with parents for target subjects aged 9 years and younger, are asked to report on, among others, the following topics: 

  • Experiences during lockdowns
  • Childcare during lockdowns
  • Change in family climate and leisure activities
  • Changes in schooling, learning, higher education
  • Parenting behavior
  • Life satisfaction
