Foster Care Service

This research project of DJI and DIJuF draws together statistical information and research about the German foster care system in comparison with foster care in other European countries. There is a focus on foster children's perspectives and attachments. Conclusions are drawn for qualitative standards of professional work with all persons involved in the foster care-system. Therefore the different needs of family foster-carers, children, birth parents and professionals are analysed and presented. The results of the project are going be reported in a manual for practitioners.
