New Challenges in the Pedagogical Prevention of Extremism among Young People

Project design
Given the current dominant discourses and problem areas, the project module will centre on the topics of "Islamic fundamentalism/Islamic extremism" and "Left-wing radicalism/Left-wing extremism", including a comparison of the two. It will focus on the following tasks:
- Systematic assessment of the state of current discussion in academic and pedagogical circles
- Initiating, sponsoring and documenting exchange among specialists in Germany and across Europe, through workshops and seminars
- Knowledge transfer via publications, lectures and committee work
- Survey investigation and documentation of pedagogical initiatives and experience in practice
