The specialist library at the DJI

The DJI library specializes in the area of social science. The focus areas of the collection derive from the DJI’s work as Germany’s largest non-university research institute in the area of children, youth and family.

The library is a central service facility which makes professional and specialist literature available to institute staff. It holds a collection of approx. 100,000 books along with some 230 magazine subscriptions and is publicly accessible. However, only DJI employees are entitled to borrow materials. External visitors may use the books and magazines on site.

The library catalogue[2] (OPAC–Online Public Access Catalogue) is freely available for online search.
