| Anfang der 2020er Jahre haben die Europäische Kommission und der Europarat parallele Initiativen ins Leben gerufen, nämlich das „Youth Mainstreaming“ und die „Jugendperspektive“, um die Sichtweisen junger Menschen in Entscheidungsprozessen zu stärken. Dieses „Youth Knowledge Book“ hinterfragt diese Konzepte kritisch aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln. Es gliedert sich in vier Teile: institutioneller Hintergrund; theoretische Überlegungen; nationale Erfahrungen und praktische Beispiele in ganz Europa; sowie Praktiken außerhalb des Jugendsektors, einschließlich internationaler Organisationen und anderer Politikbereiche. Ein abschließendes Kapitel fasst die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse zusammen und skizziert, was erforderlich ist, um die Visionen von der Verankerung des „Youth Mainstreaming“ und der Festigung einer dauerhaften Jugendperspektive in der europäischen Politik und Praxis zu verwirklichen. In the early 2020s, the European Commission and Council of Europe launched parallel commitments, i.e. “youth mainstreaming” and a “youth perspective”, to strengthen the perspectives of young people in decision-making. This Youth Knowledge Book critically analyses these concepts from multiple angles. It is structured in four parts: institutional background; theoretical reflections; national experiences and practical examples across Europe; and practices beyond the youth sector, including international organizations and other policy fields. A concluding chapter synthesizes lessons learned and outlines what is needed to fulfill visions of embedding youth mainstreaming and cementing a durable youth perspective in European policy and practice. | |
