| This volume provides a broad insight into diverse systems of monitoring ECEC quality. Quality monitoring systems of Australia, Belgium (Flanders), Denmark, Germany (Berlin), Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Sweden and Slovenia show how monitoring is embedded in ECEC systems, how quality assurance and development is implemented and which challenges occur regarding sustainability and efficiency of monitoring systems. Concluding approaches and current developments of the respective countries are compared and analyzed from an educational governance perspective. The volume contributes to the national debate on how to achieve and sustainably ensure high quality at the different levels of the ECEC system. | |
