| Participation of young people in elections has decreased over the last decades, although many are undoubtedly interested in political issues and are actively involved in promoting political causes by working within "new social movements". This has effects on the functioning of Democracy in post-industrial societies. It also provides new challenges for political parties and requires reforms of political education Curricula.
Obwohl die Wahlbeteiligung insbesondere bei den jüngeren Generationen in Deutschland zurückgegangen ist, sind viele junge Menschen an politischen Themen interessiert und in einem breiten Spektrum sozialer Bewegungen engagiert. Diese Neuausrichtung junger Menschen auf das politische System bleibt nicht ohne Konsequenzen für die politischen Parteien und erfordert dringend Reformen im Hinblick auf die politische Bildung junger Menschen. | |
