DESCRIPTION:This presentation shows the prevalence\, predictors\, and socio
 economic consequences of shared parenting across &nbsp\;Europe. We have us
 ed EU‑SILC data to compare how common shared parenting arrangements are 
 across Europe\, what factors predict them\, and show how shared parenting 
 relates to employment patterns\, household incomes\, and child poverty.&nb
 sp\;\nSpeaker:Dr. Mia Hakovirta is a professor of social work at the Unive
 rsity of Turku\, Finland. She completed her Masters at the University of T
 ampere\, Finland\, and her PhD at the University of Turku. Her dissertatio
 n explored the employment and incomes of lone mothers in different welfare
  states. Pursuing these and other important issues related to post-separat
 ion families and economic disparities\, Dr. Hakovirta's areas of expertise
  are\, among others\, family policy\, lone parenthood\, child maintenance 
 and child support Policy\, as well as childhood poverty. Dr. Hakovirta's w
 ork is widely published in international peer-reviewed journals\, such as 
 Demographic Research\, the Journal of Family Studies\, and the Journal of
